Good news! I got an A1 for my art EOY paper! 86 wor... =D

I guess the movie marathon craze is creeping back to our class! To kick start, our first movie was a thrilling horror flick, "The Messengers". Really really nice movie, recommended by me. No doubt its scary, James was squealing beside me lol. But...it has a quiiiiite unexpected twist. Zhi de kan.

Summary! The movie starts off straight to the point. To scare the shit outta you! A mother carrying her child running into a room,closed the door, asked the child to hide under the bed. The door knob turns,the door opens,the mother was flung to the wall. The poor child ran outta the room,bumping into...his aunt? i suppose. Who eventually gets flung over the stairs and dies. The boy ran into the kitchen,hid inside a cabinet,in total darkness.

A family trying to get away from the past, moves into the countryside, into that house or rather a farm. The house bears alot of xiong qi. Very dark and gloomy. plus, crows flying everywhere is a bad omen.

There was a blood stain on the wall of the master bedroom that the previous mom was flung to and no matter how hard,how many times, Mom just couldn't make it go away.

Then later the dad was attacked by the crows, and this guy with a gun scared them away. That was how they met John. Dad, sorta broke, was puting his hopes on the next harvest. and John helped out, planting his crops and rebuilding the dilapitated farm.

The da jie,Jess and her little 3 year old brother,Ben are the only ones that can see 'them'. Jess tries to tell her parents,but as cliche as it sounds, they think shes nuts. Ben,can't talk cos of the broken past (Parents left Jess alone with Ben. Jess was drink driving, got into accident, Ben suffered injuries.Dad spends a bomb on medical bills. "20 years of savings, gone in 2 years!"-Dad).

One day, Mom and Ben were alone at home. Ben always points at 'them' and Mom knew something wasn't right. She brought him to her room to rest.

Mom sees a woman(previous mom's spirit) emerging through the wall she was flung to and screams. She carrys Ben down, gets their luggage outta the house.

Just then, there was this huge flock of crows hovering in the skies, and suddenly swooping down to attack John,who was working with the crops. John, survived the attack, but was kinda hallucinating. He had a flashback of his own share of broken past. Yuan lai, he was the Dad of the previous family. He was broke, and his family wanted to leave him. He saw Mom trying to leave the house. But he sees her as the previous mom.

John,infuriated stops Mom from leaving,by force. They ran and hid in the cellar (Jess was in the cellar earlier on, and hands were pulling her legs down).

Jess, along with her friend, Bobby i think?lol figured everything out and returned home. John knocks Bobby out and sees Jess as his daughter. Jess also went to hid in the scary cellar,along with Mom and Ben.

Dad comes back, puzzled, found them in the cellar but was backstabbed by John. Angry Jess chiongs forward to whack John, but John flung her to the ground. Suddenly, on the ground behind John was this quicksand kinda thing creeping towards him (similar to what happened to Jess). Jess kicks him,causing him to fall backwards into the 'quicksand'. Bodies rose from the 'quicksand' (John's family) pulling him down.

Just when everything seems resolved, John rises up and grabs Jess' leg. well,as expected,Mom and Dad(who miraculously didn't die) helped her.

And they lived happily after.

oh,just so you know, Ben could talk after that.

Ok ok,so maybe it's not so much of a summary. But hey, i just helped you guys saved $20 or so to buy the VCD to watch =D
