I finally went to bugis, with Jiacai and Marcus!Resisting the tempation to buy stuffs on previous shopping escapades was a wise decision.Bugis is cheap, cheap, cheap!
I have foresight,I predicted that Marcus would oversleep and be late. But because of his lateness,I met my juniors! at the MRT station. They didn't know where they were heading lol.
I love the ambience of Bugis Street!Very shopping-ly.I felt bad.We keep entering the same shops, tried on a few clothes and walk out empty handed. They had to go behind and take out your size and it's so paiseh to return to them after trying.
There was this very cute saleslady from "Messy".Marcus and I bought a shorts there. Then after roaming around,we went back and Marcus wanted to buy a shirt. He was about 10bucks short,so he 'sa jiao-ed' to the saleslady, asking for a discount on account that he bought a shorts.Lol,just when i thought to myself "siao ah shen me zhao",she said "er...ok la ok la jiu mao bu yao suan la...".And the way she said it was like 90cents=50%off!hahaha
There was a rare 50% and 30% sales at Topshop! But the discounted range sucks. And the Singaporean-ness was particularly conspicuous there. It was squeazy squeazy squeazy at the discounted area and space space space at the Non!
To emphasize my Ming Xing Yuan,I saw Kelly,Pan Jia Li holding her Qian Chang Hui!I jumped as if it was a rock concert lol. There was a few people going up stage to receieve prizes, and among them was Jiacai's Friend!LOL xia suay...
Maybe I'm slow, but the Food Junction in Bugis Junction is so posh and modern looking! We have never been there and we were like "Wah!".The seating area really reminds me of a restaurant I've been to in Xi Men Ding in Taiwan.and the ambience there had this really Taiwan feel.I wanted to get a seat near the railing cos the table and seats are nicer there and you can look down at the shops. But too bad, couldn't.
Feeling all Taiwan-ny,we went for Taiwan xiao chi!My first time eating "orh ah mi sua" and "chou dou fu"!Just when i paid,i remembered,I don't eat oysters -.-.But I didn't regret anyways. The chou dou fu wasn't as chou as Taiwan's and it tastes just like normal zha dou fu,just that it stinks. But overall, still yummy!
Not satisfied with my meal,I added another Taiwan favourite,"Gong Wan"!For those of you who don't know,it's actually giant meat balls.I like the kou gan.
I felt like an idiot queueing a the stall.Cos' before that,I queued from the right,at the cashier. So i went to the right. But i realised people were getting their food there. So i went to the left side. Then i realise the queue wasn't moving cos the people there are waiting for their food.So i went back to the right. Then 'cos before that the auntie will ask me what i want. But she didn't so i thought she meant the queue starts from the left so i went back to the left. But again,it wasn't moving!!! @#@$@% I went back to the right and just told the auntie what i wanted. And my queue wasn't moving also.I was still at the same position. But when my Gong Wan came out,it was served at the left.So was I right?LOL confusing right?
Despite that,I went home craving for something to eat again.haha Shopping is indeed a heck of a good way to burn those calories!
