Disappointing Defeat
This morning puts an end to the Celtic's winning streak,as the Lakers dominated Game 3.It was rather nerve wrecking to watch the game, whether you're a Laker fan or a Boston fan, like me.
Both teams were not on their peak.Kobe was missing free throws-and you know how much he hates to miss free throws.Ray Allen-Boston's top clutch shooter, one of the best in the league history-was missing free throws. And both team's NBA veteran power forwards,Lamar Odom and Kevin Garnett, was not knocking down shots!I mean,at half,Garnett has only 2 points!1 out of 10,11?And Odom had none!
Another one of Boston's veteran, small forward,Paul Pierce, who has been a major factor on the defensive and offensive end of the court in Games 1 and 2,was also not banking down shots! And his early foul trouble added to Boston's burden.
Everything was just not going Boston's way.At the third quarter, point guard Rajan Rondo twisted his ankle on the fastbreak!Argh! How maddening is that!Fortunately,it was a minor sprain and he should be fine and dandy to join in in the following games.
Whereas,Laker's bench was just smokin' hot on their fingers.I can't even keep in number how many clutch 3 pointers Sasha Vujacic scored. He had a career high of 20+ points.
What really tweaked my nerve was why the hell is P.J. Brown on the court with the last few minutes winding down the clock and Boston trailing! He missed an open lay-up for crying out loud!
Boston's Big Three have really gotta step up if they wanna win this finals.I mean, they've got the meanest defense in the league!Attacking the rim is just as good as throwing yourself into a brick wall, which was apparently non-existent in today's game.
Go Celtics!
What you can see, doesn't mean its near. Training today was at Woodlands,at the hill beside Sports School.
It has always been Teo's dream of bringing us there to scale the vast,steep,wild,untrimmed,itch-inducing grassland. And finally fulfilled it was!
We were all mentally prepared for what was in stored.
Jogging from one end to the other was already quite a stuggle.
We were on the 'summit' and Teo was giving us instructions for our next run.He pointed to this two white objects ahead,on the outskirts of the land, next to the Expressway and told us to start from there, all the way to where were standing.
We knew it was far.But we didn't know it was that far!I swear we took almost 10minutes to walk there. When we there,Teo was so puny!We could barely see him.
Well, all in all,it was quite fun.Except from the itchy legs I incurred.
