One-Plate PolicyRecess, has recently turned into an ugly affair. The Warmongers-students-have waged a perpetual war-til resolved;highly doubted- with the Prefects. And underneath all that lies a greater animosity and resentment with the Discipline Commitee, the Student Welfare Unit, and to a certain extent, the school.
Due to certain black sheeps who taint the not-that-good-reputation of themselves and decide to grant themselves a winning advance-to-front-of-queue card, recess will never be the same again.
Good news for us,law abiders.Bad news for Prefects ('guarding' each stall)-they've got shit to do;prevent people from cutting queues.
Like all scheming, diabolical, evil villains, after ruining their plans and saving the day, what do they do?Well, they strike up another ingenious plan to destroy the day-and hopefully the earth! But unlike all scheming, diabolical, evil villains, they learn.
As if staining your hands with crimson, sinful blood isn't bad enough, you smear some on other's as well.
So what is their ingenious plan, you may ask.Well, they ask their friends to buy food for them,of course! You don't break the rules, you don't get caught cheating the queue, you don't have to initiate the plan yourself and at the end of the day,you get your tummy filled! What brilliance!-not.
Excuse my imprudent remarks.Let me get this straight, although I am against people cutting queues,I see no fault in asking your friend to help you buy food......
James has been a helpful...waiter?...,helping us place orders when there is a Chemistry period right before recess-he doesn't take Chemistry-to assuage the plight we're in.But according to Prefects, because of his large-scale orders,he is clogging up the queue.Hence, incurring the complaints of Prefects to the Discipline Teachers.
...Unless you're like James.Haha.The complaints are understandable.'Cos you're cloggin' up the queue...
However, just two or three days ago,we just witnessed how petty the Prefects have gone.
Your ass's stuck in class, your teacher eats up your few precious, crucial minutes of recess, your classroom's on the other end of the school, you're starving and you're faced with intimidating queues the moment you step into canteen, with time winding down fast.Jason asks Clavance to buy a plate of rice for him,and he gladly agrees.
But as soon as Clavance left the stall, two Prefects stalked him all the way to his table and exclaimed that he can't help his friend buy.You can only buy one plate.
You can only buy one plate.
Clavance, baffled and slowly boiling, fights his case. It's only one freaking plate more?!
Today,James was caught in the same situation, only that the matter was blown up.After recess, during class,he was summoned by the Discipline teacher. The teacher discriminates and criticizes what he did as a Student Councillor.James,of course, takes this opportunity to rebutt that it's the school's fault for all these."My duty is to speak on behalf of the student population."
The Teacher, obviously,on the losing end, could not stuff humble pie down his throat and told James to return to class.
How absurd! It's just one or two freaking more plates...This accentuates how robotic our Prefects are. They don't have a mind of their own;they carry out orders blindly without injecting their own perspective and judgement.
What for implement rules that are inefficient and would invite more crimes. The whole root factor is that we have too many people to feed, too little stalls and too little time.So why doesn't the school look into that?
Do we have to bring everything up to the Principal before our voices are seriously heard?
One Missed Call
Yesterday,in Deutsch Klasse,I received an anonymous call.Apart from me not knowing who it was,I was in the middle of lesson,so I payed no attention to it.
At recesss,I rembered and called back. And Thank God did I called back!
It was NJC calling to inform me that I've been successfully admitted into the school!
Yay!
One Night Only
I rushed to Cafe Cartel after Deutsch Klasse to meet Juanne,Qiulin and Jiacai for dinner.Haven't seen them for ages!Absence just makes the mind grow fonder, don't it :)
Spent a long time browsing through the menu-they should know-not knowing what to have. When my food finally came,it was cold -.-
Ah,at least I've got Juanne's fantabulous,brilliant,wow!-inducing art piece of random doodles in class!=D
...I'm so jealous she's so randomly talented.
Too bad time forbidded us to stay longer together.
Let's have dinner again soon!=;)
