We were in German Class, going through our TYS's Listening Compre's answers with Frau Tan.Then before that I was asking Felicia (who sits on the right of me;German Genius) what the answer to a particular question was.She wasn't very sure about her answer either.
So when Frau Koh revealed the answer (Felicia got it wrong(rare)),suddenly Felicia started taking short, loud breaths and you can see her lungs expanding and contracting really quickly.
I felt really bewildered by her reaction of her mistake. Then Marcus asked me what happened to Felicia. And I wrote down "Wrong-O-Phobia...".lol
And I was having my own lightning-speed-debate in my mind about how we,students, immersed in the modern,'wholesome','innovative' etc education system, have become so 'perfect-minded' that we are so afraid of commiting mistakes.Mistakes, have become a taboo in our education,to feed the perfection-hungry society.
However,we then realize that Felica was still acting weird and we discovered she was having some kinda asthma-like attack! So I quickly raised my hand to alert Frau Tan.
She asked Felica what seemed to be the problem.Felicia had some difficulty speaking, but mumbled. Then Frau Tan continued giving out her worksheets and told Marcus and I to continue doing our work.I gave her that baffled expression, like can't she see there's a life and death situation occuring at the moment???
Anyway, after giving out,she continued to inquire Felicia, who then said that she was hyperventilating-happened before;she has no control over it and it'll go away eventually.
It subsided after a while and Marcus, the gentleman and St John-trained medic brought her out for some fresh air.She came back not long after, back to her original self. :D
