Took part in the first race of the season, All-Comers, yesterday, held at Bukit Gombak Stadium.
When I surveyed the stands, I found the Catholic High Throws team; exchanged a few words with them. Feels kinda weird running not for Catholic High!
As usual, the Catholic High throwers dominated the field. (Well, they were the only school competing in it haha! But, they'd own anywhow.) So, keep it up, team!
As for me, I wasn't feeling in tip-top condition - perhaps due to the lack of sleep the night before.
Summary of what happened the night before: There's this world-reknown Vietnamese artist who's going around selling 20 unqiue, one of her own kind, calendars printed together with her art pieces. And my dad's colleague bought 2 from her. So they were gonna have dinner with her - she's gonna leave on Monday - and my Dad asked my family along; he thought perhaps she could offer me her two cents worth on whether I should continue doing art. So I dug out all my sketches to show her. And you know what, her advises were worth more than 200000000000000 cents. She complimented my O levels Paper 2 artwork and said that I should use more Charcoal - my strength. Yeah, but I'm still contemplating whether I should continue this year...
Coupled with lethargy was a little pain in my shins...Don't know where that came from...
So I just treated it as a fun run and just, yeah have fun.
The team ran well; we're definitely on the right track (if you get what I mean haha) and I see much progress ahead. So surge on, Team NJ!
And as for Joshua, put the past where it's supposed to be - the past - and look ahead. Every setback just takes you one step closer to success!
